An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Chaplain to play a central role in the spiritual and pastoral life of St Albans School as it enters a new chapter in its long history.

With a Christian foundation dating back over 1,000 years and a close relationship with St Albans Cathedral, the School seeks an inspirational Chaplain to lead worship, provide spiritual guidance and pastoral care, and nurture the Christian ethos of the School. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils and staff, fostering a strong sense of community and helping young people explore questions of faith, values and purpose.

Applications are welcomed from candidates with or without teaching experience. The position may be a teaching or non-teaching role, depending on the successful candidate’s background. Chaplaincy accommodation is available for those wishing to explore this option and can be discussed with the Headmaster as part of the overall remuneration package.

St Albans is a beautiful Cathedral city, with a lively cultural life, surrounded by countryside but only 20 minutes from London by train, with easy access to motorways and airports.
