An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Mount Kelly Prep as Prep Personalised Learning Lead (Deputy SENCo) from September 2026.

This is a key role within the Prep, with responsibility for the development and day-to-day leadership of Personalised Learning provision across Reception to Year 8. The successful candidate will lead SEND provision within the Prep, working with professional autonomy while being supported by the Assistant Head Personalised Learning (SENCo) to ensure alignment across the School.

The role is based at the Prep School and involves working closely with teachers, form tutors and support staff to ensure that SEND provision and inclusive classroom practice are embedded across the Prep.

We are seeking a well-qualified and experienced professional with strong knowledge of SEND provision, statutory processes and inclusive classroom practice. The successful candidate will bring excellent organisational skills, a collaborative approach and a clear commitment to supporting every pupil to achieve their potential. The post is permanent from September 2026 and ideally full time. Mount Kelly Prep is a thriving day and boarding school located on the outskirts of the attractive market town of Tavistock, on the edge of Dartmoor National Park in Devon. The successful candidate will be expected to play a full and active part in the wider life of this busy and ambitious school, including involvement in co-curricular activities and participation in the staff duty and boarding rotas as appropriate.
