The role:

We are seeking a full time or part time Teacher of Science to teach combined Science across Years 7 to 11 (Key Stage 3 and GCSE), preferably together with A level teaching in one of Physics, Chemistry or Biology. Please state your A level specialism in your covering letter.

The STEM Faculty is a thriving, forward-thinking department with a strong focus on the professional development of every member of staff. Our five laboratories, renovated in summer 2023, let us deliver hands-on, practical science that fosters discovery and experimentation.

Classes are small throughout the College, and Sixth Form sets can be as small as two to six students. This gives you the time to know every pupil well, stretch the most able and support those who find science harder.

The successful applicant will report to the STEM Faculty Lead and will help the department continue to grow. This role would suit an experienced teacher or an ambitious early-career teacher; graduates seeking teacher training will also be considered.
