We are currently seeking to fill the position of Swimming Assistant - Level 1 at Leicester Grammar School.

We are excited to be launching SWIM@LGST and are looking for enthusiastic and passionate Swim Assistants to join our growing team.

Our swim school is committed to delivering high-quality swimming lessons in a supportive and welcoming environment. With smaller class sizes and excellent facilities, including a heated 25-metre, six-lane pool and modern wet-side changing facilities, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new and expanding programme.

You will work alongside a friendly and experienced team, supporting the delivery of swimming lessons and helping swimmers develop confidence, skills and enjoyment in the water. Applicants should hold a Swim England/SEQ Level 1 Swimming Assistant (Teaching) qualification or equivalent. A valid First Aid or lifesaving qualification is desirable. You will be confident, patient and engaging, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Previous experience working with children or within a sporting environment would be advantageous.

Lessons will be running as follows:

• Monday 4.30pm - 6.30pm
• Tuesday 4.30pm - 6.30pm
• Thursday 5.30pm - 6.30pm
• Friday 5.30pm - 6.30pm
• Saturdays 8.30am - 2.00pm (then 1-1s, stroke clinics and rookie lifeguard)
• Sundays 8.30am-2.00pm (then community splash 2.30pm - 3.30pm)

There will be 6 classes in each 30 min lesson as a minimum.
