We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Estates Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the smooth running of the school premises ensuring efficient operations and exceptional standards.
NOW HIRING: SCHOOL ESTATES OFFICER
Full-time; 52 weeks, 5.6 weeks holiday to be taken during school holidays
Salary: KHS pay scale dependent upon experience
Start Date: As soon as possible
Master of keys. Wizard of fixes. Hero of the halls.
Are you the kind of person who can fix a leaky tap, a wobbly chair, and a slightly bruised ego — all before morning break?
We’re on the lookout for an Estates Officer Extraordinaire to join our school family. If you’re practical, proactive, and partial to a good cup of tea (with the occasional biscuit bribe), we want to hear from you.
Your average day (if there is such a thing):
Opening up the school like a boss (keys jangling optional)
Keeping our classrooms cosy, corridors clean, and playgrounds prepped for fun
Tackling odd jobs with superhero speed and a tool-belt of tricks
Being the go-to guru for “something’s not working” emergencies
Making sure our school always looks its best — even on rainy Tuesdays
You’ll need:
A can-do attitude and a ‘no job too small’ mindset
A love for fixing, maintaining, organising and occasionally rescuing footballs from rooftops
The ability to smile through endless questions from curious children
To know your way around a toolbox better than most
Perks include:
Daily hellos from small humans
Random high-fives in the corridor
The satisfaction of being the silent engine behind a brilliant school day
A team who’ll appreciate you more than you know
An abundance of tea, toast, biscuits and lunch provided during term time
So, if you're ready to be the behind-the-scenes legend who keeps the whole place ticking...
Apply now.
Because no school runs without a brilliant Estates Officer — and we think that might just be you.
We are uncompromising on safeguarding and wellbeing. These apply to children and to our staff. Our collaborative working environment promotes both personal and professional development and supports wellness and respect in the workplace
As a result, we’ll need a completed application form rather than just a CV. You’ll need to be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service
We’ll be looking to interview candidates asap, and reserve the right to appoint before the closing date. We hope to see your application soon.
