The King’s School Worcester

HMC, IAPS, co-educational day school, 1300+ pupils aged 2-18

The Governors of the King’s School, Worcester Foundation are seeking to appoint a dynamic, inspirational and effective Head of Foundation to shape the strategic direction of our family of three schools, and drive our ambitious growth plans.

The successful candidate will be an educationalist with a passion for learning and pupil development. They will also be an astute strategist with business acumen and an excellent communicator with the highest levels of integrity. Supported by the Heads of the two Prep Schools, the Head of Foundation will be forward-thinking, have a deep commitment to the traditions and ethos of the Foundation and will lead with positivity, respect and transparency.

The King’s Foundation is one of the leading independent schools in the region. It is a community of three schools - King’s Senior (11-18 years) - and two Prep Schools - King’s St Alban’s and King’s Hawford (both 2-11yrs). The schools are united by a common vision and ethos: to be curious, to be caring, and to be confident, whilst each school retains its own individual character and strengths. We believe that every pupil is a unique and whole person, with their own academic talents, co-curricular passions, and future aspirations. Our aim is to unlock and unleash their potential, and provide a nurturing environment for pupils to develop towards a successful and fulfilling future.

Applications are encouraged from those with relevant experience gained from settings throughout the education sector.

Start date: Ideally September 2025, however the Foundation can be flexible.
