We are seeking to appoint a Residential Graduate Assistant to join us for one year from September 2026.

We are looking to appoint enthusiastic, motivated and committed Resident Graduate Assistants to join our thriving boarding community for the 2026–2027 academic year. This role offers a valuable experience for graduates keen to gain practical, hands‑on experience within a leading co‑educational boarding school, while developing the skills, confidence and professional insight to support future careers in teaching, coaching or professions involving the development and support of young people.

As a Resident Graduate Assistant, you will be fully involved in school life: supporting in lessons, assisting departments, supporting in the senior school curriculum and contributing to the enrichment (co‑curricular) programme. You will work closely with experienced colleagues, learn from skilled practitioners, and benefit from a structured induction alongside ongoing professional development.

This one‑year residential post provides a broad and rewarding experience with opportunities to support learning in the classroom, engage closely with pupils, develop pastoral skills, and contribute to the school’s extensive programme of activities.

The areas of school that our Resident Graduate Assistants typically support are:

· The Learning Support department

· The Prep School

If you have another area of school that interests you, please ask whether this can be supported.

You will play an active role in the day to day running of the boarding house, residing in staff accommodation within the house. You will be expected to take a genuine interest in the care and development of each individual boarder. The role includes working either a Saturday or Sunday each week to support activities and trips designed to enrich our boarders’ experience of British culture, with at least one protected day off each week.

As our Resident Graduate Assistant, you will receive:

Boarding Schools Association: Boarding Essentials Certificate

Access to school facilities including the swimming pool and gym

A qualification in first aid

High quality subsidised accommodation

All meals provided during term-time

Invaluable experience of working in a school environment

At the end of the tenure, our Resident Graduate Assistants will have gained confidence and experience which will be invaluable in whatever career they choose.
