We are seeking a dynamic and proactive non-teaching Pastoral Support Manager to play a prominent role in delivering exceptional pastoral care.
Working alongside our Heads of Year and the Director of Pastoral Care and Boarding, you will require a restless approach that supports and nurtures our pupils to demonstrate our core values and exemplary behaviour.
The role has many facets and will require considerable skills in liaising with parents/carers, pupils, teachers, and other stakeholders, including external agencies with the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships built on mutual respect a key to the success of the role. The Pastoral Support Manager will frequently be the person filtering information and tackling situations as they arise thus a calm head and the ability to communicate clearly and confidently are essential.
You will have excellent interpersonal skills and have the highest expectations for yourself and others. You will be able to work both independently and as part of a wider team and prioritise workload accordingly. You will be joining a team of highly skilled and committed professionals who are relentless in the pursuit of pastoral excellence.
The role will involve:
● To manage the day-to-day provision of a robust and supportive pastoral and behaviour system to all pupils
● To promote excellent attendance, exemplary behaviour whilst providing students with a high level of pastoral care.
● To contribute to the school’s long-term approach for pastoral support
● Play a pivotal role in the effectiveness and success of the school.
● Assist the HOY and pastoral team in the care, welfare and academic progress of students.
We're looking for you if you have:
● A good standard of education (ideally Maths/English GCSE grade A* to C or equivalent);
● Experience of working in a school environment or in a supervisory role with young people will be an advantage;
● A commitment to high standards of achievement from pupils and yourself;
● Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to act on your own initiative;
