We have a vacancy for a well-qualified and enthusiastic graduate to join our staff for one academic year starting in September 2026.

The role will involve supporting children in class, in activities and games, and taking an interest in the boarding life of the School. There is an expectation that, with the support of the Head of Department of the Graduate Assistant’s specialist subject or the Head of Year in the Junior School, Graduate Assistants will, in time, deliver some lessons. An ability to assist with Sport and the co-curricular life of the school is vital.

Applicants are welcomed from any subject specialism.

In 2026 we are particularly looking for applicants for Drama, Music and Sport. All roles will suit those seeking further experience of working with children prior to teacher training. The Graduate Assistant role can become a two year programme for successful applicants after the first year. In the second year of the programme applicants would become a Graduate Teacher and undertake the PGTA to gain QTS.

We offer a salary of £25,000pa inclusive, plus membership of the Teachers’ Pension Scheme, for non-residential Graduates.
