Berkhamsted Schools Group is seeking an enthusiastic, highly organised and proactive Deputy Head. Working closely with the Headteacher, and wider Senior Management Team. Supported by an Assistant Head the post-holder will play a key role in the day-to-day leadership and effective operation of the School, providing strategic oversight of pastoral care, behaviour, safeguarding, pupil development and key school operations.

The successful candidate will bring strong leadership, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to build positive relationships, make sound decisions and lead effectively through others. A thorough understanding of boys’ education, adolescent wellbeing and pastoral best practice is essential, alongside the confidence to manage complex situations and work collaboratively across teams.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious pastoral leader to make a significant contribution to the academic progress, wellbeing and character development of boys, while broadening their strategic and operational leadership experience and developing towards more senior school leadership roles.
